(AP) — Jawaan Taylor has agreed to an $80 million, four-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs to replace Orlando Brown Jr. as the blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press.The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Monday because the deal cannot become official until Wednesday.The 25-year-old Taylor started all 66 games he’s played in since entering the league as a second-round pick of the Jaguars in the 2019 draft. The Aurora, Commerce City and Denver police departments responded to seven separate shooting incidents over the weekend of March 11 and March 12. Eleven people were injured and one killed. 12 shot in 7 separate shootings in metro over weekend The number of shootings over the weekend is not special, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigations data. There were over a dozen shootings a day in the same four counties through 2022.The shootings took place across Adams, Arapahoe, Denver and Jefferson counties. The number of firearm-related murders and aggravated assaults on a daily basis from these counties combined varied widely during 2022. At most, there were 40 a day on days in February, March and April. At the least, there were as few as two per day. Fort Lauderdale High School and Dillard High School were both placed on lockdown after police received information regarding shooting threats. The lockdowns have since been lifted, Monday, but they brought many concerned parents to the schools.“There was some sort of threat with a gun of some sort,” said Traci Bartz, a parent who arrived at Fort Lauderdale High, “so they were all huddled in a corner, and they were all very scared. A fire broke out Monday and crews from the City of Miami and Miami-Dade are currently working to put it out.The location is believed to be a fleamarket near 36 street between 28th and 29th Avenue. The area is surrounded by boat sales and automobile repair shops.7Skyforce captured the dark smoke slowly turning white as firefighters put water on the fire.No injuries have been reported so far.
